At Assisting Hands Home Care of Fremont, our caregivers are HCA (Home Care Aide) Certified by the state of California. They undergo comprehensive training, including essential caregiving skills, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, medication reminders, infection control, emergency response, effective client communication, cultural sensitivity, and ongoing education. This training ensures our caregivers are well- prepared to provide high-quality care to our clients.

An Assisting Hands care manager is available to answer your questions. We can be reached at (510) 319-7808 will ring directly to an on-call phone, ensuring you can always reach someone knowledgeable and ready to assist.

We require a 4-hour minimum per shift, 2 days a week. We make an effort to be flexible with your needs and offer an array of options.

At Assisting Hands Home Care, we understand the importance of building trust and consistency in your care. While we strive to provide you with the same caregiver for each visit to maintain a strong caregiver-client relationship, there may be instances where caregiver schedules need to be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or time-off.

Rest assured, we make every effort to match you with caregivers who best meet your needs and preferences. We keep detailed records of your care plan and personal preferences to ensure a seamless transition if another caregiver is temporarily assigned.

Our goal is to provide you with the continuity of care and peace of mind you deserve.

Yes, we are flexible! We request 7 business days to make care plan changes and 24- hour notice to cancel a shift.

No, we do not require a deposit to begin services. You can get started with care without any upfront costs.

Yes, we provide transportation to doctor appointments, social outings and errands.

Our caregivers are trained to provide a wide range of non-medical in-home care services tailored to meet your unique needs. Some of the common duties our caregivers can perform include:

1. Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
2. Companion Care: Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
3. Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals based on dietary requirements.
4. Medication Reminders: Ensuring medications are taken at the correct times and dosages.
5. Mobility Assistance: Assisting with mobility, transfers, and exercises.
6. Light Housekeeping: Performing light cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
7. Transportation: Providing transportation to medical appointments, errands, and outings.
8. Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care: Specialized care for individuals with memory-related conditions.
9. Respite Care: Giving family caregivers a break from their caregiving responsibilities.
10. Safety Supervision: Monitoring for safety and fall prevention.

Your satisfaction is our priority. If your caregiver is not a good fit, simply let us know, and we will work with you to find a caregiver who better suits your needs and preferences.

We use advanced technology, including Telephony and Geofencing, to ensure the supervision and accountability of our caregivers. These systems track caregiver arrival and departure times, allowing clock-ins and clock-outs only at the location of care. Additionally, our caregivers use this mobile software to document daily care notes that we monitor daily.

To further enhance the quality of care, we conduct on-site supervision visits by our Director of Nursing every 60-90 days, maintaining open lines of communication for ongoing support and feedback.

At Assisting Hands Home Care, the safety and security of our clients are paramount. We conduct thorough background checks on all our caregivers, including comprehensive state and federal checks. Additionally, for caregivers who assist with transportation, we also run their driver’s license records to ensure they have a clean drivers record. Our rigorous screening process is designed to provide you with peace of mind and the highest level of trust in our caregivers.
